Dwoelf ROTJ WIP

So....I never thought I would say this, but I've started building an ROTJ. I've always been die-hard ESB, but....I've got all kinds of left over ESB parts that got shelved after upgrades etc. In addition, with the 40th anniversary of ROTJ next year, I figured I might as well put some of these excess parts to good use!! That being said...this will be more of a "B-grade" suit. I won't be nearly as picky with this one as I am with my main ESB (At least for now!!! LoL)

So here's what I have so far.....

Here is a jetpack I painted a few years back from dvh. At the time, I wanted one for mostly display, and worked directly from the heilman pics. As you can see, missing piano keys etc. So ...I will need to do a bit of additional weathering, replace piano keys, add the rivets, and put that gawd aweful big white streak down the inside of left tank. (I still think that was unintentional, and a big flake of paint came off after someone dropped it,....or something???) Anywho... should be doable without too much trouble...

Next up is my blaster. Again, original intention of this was for display. It's got plenty of inaccuracies, but looks the part. It's a hyperfim that I completely stripped down and respainted. I have dogs, cats, kid, etc...hence the logic of an unbreakable hyperfim!!! Lol

Many of you have seen these braids I'm working on. Kinda hit a bit of a "roadblock" with those dang knots. Have made many attempts, but still not quite right. Im getting close though, and confident I'll figure it out ..

Gauntlet I'm working on. This was a FP v1 from about 2005 I think??? Trooped with it as ESB for many years!!! I scratch built a new unit for the side, and did lots of fiberglass repair on it. Not nearly as accurate as it could be, but again...."looks the part". Still lots of paintwork left to do on this one!!!

Think I'm gonna call this done. Added some "bells & whistles". Should be a "crowd pleaser" with the kiddos!!!

Does anyone have a good source for the 2 coupler pieces of the back of the whip chord housing??? I'd like to avoid wandering around in Menards/Lowe's all afternoon trying to locate them if possible

I have a couple that I made several years ago from found parts (minus the dowel that runs through them), if you want them.

They are not exact, but close enough for “B-grade.”

Well this ended up being a fair amount of screwin around converting this whipcord housing over to the thicker/beefier ROTJ style!!! Plenty of fiberglass and Bondo, and sanding!! Not perfect by any means, but should work.
