@RafalFett pointed out here that the visor material on the original helmets actually has a cut-out for the circuit board, and covers the sides along the board. So in my infinite insanity, I'm trying to replicate that. I've also figured out a recipe for a putty that looks like what they used on ESB and will put that on after I get the visor correct.

Just the circuit board doesn't cover the keyholes, this is why they used the visor material to fill in those gaps, then it was sealed with putty/glue/whatever.

yeah, the putty they used was so goopy and sloppy, that if they had not used the visor to cover the sides of the circuit board, the goop would've surely made a mess along the sides of the 3 upper keyslots.

This one stings… I got rushed and tried to get some stuff done when I didn’t have enough time to recheck my references.

Trimmed about 1/2” too far on a vintage Nemrod holster in the trigger guard area. Ouch.
